Market data (Publisher Rocket)

Scout turns Publisher Rocket exports into ranked market signals; Ideate mints concepts from them. Pull the data, save the CSVs as below, then upload. Scout runs automatically.

Run every Monday. Lanes with no fresh data are flagged, so pull those first. Save each export with the exact filename shown, then upload it in section 3 below.

Reference · what to pull

• Keyword Search → run the search and export the keyword results (the table of related keywords with their search volume + competition). Save as keyword__<orientation>__<subgenre>.csv → upload to Keyword exports.
• Competition Analyzer → enter a real keyword/phrase or a comp title (e.g. Fourth Wing), not a generic description, then export the book list (Title / Author / ABSR / sales). Save as competition__<orientation>__<subgenre>.csv → upload to Competition exports.
• Category Search (Rocket has no export here): transcribe the rows you care about into one categories.csv (columns below).

Aim for breadth: a few niches per lane across your heat tiers (sweet → explicit). More exports = sharper ranking.

2 · How to save them

• Format: CSV (UTF-8), keep the header row. Scout auto-detects whether each file is a keyword table or a book list.
• Keyword Search columns: Keyword, Number Of Competitors, Average Monthly Earnings, Est. Amazon Searches/Month, Competitive Score (use as exported).
• Competition Analyzer (book list) columns: Title, Author, ABSR, # Of Pages, Price, DY Sales, MO Sales, Sales Page (use as exported).
• Category list columns: category_path, to_10, indie_pct, ku_pct, growth.
• Filename (lets Scout tag orientation + subgenre): <lane>__<orientation>__<subgenre>.csv (e.g. keyword__mm__hockey-romance.csv). Orientation ∈ mm · mf · ff · poly · other.

3 · Upload & process

Select all your CSVs at once; Scout detects each file's type (keyword table, book list, or category list) from its contents.
